Wichtige Informationen / Important information:

This blog is not only a collection for all of you who, like me, love poems, texts and simply everything about dogs, it is also intended to give recognition to all authors and artists who with their work give us great pleasure, sometimes solace and who also want to open our eyes to the abuse and neglect of animals.

"Angel dog"

Yesterday, I read the following article:
*****

Woman who lost her beloved golden retriever shares photo of ghostly 'angel dog' that appeared alongside her as she spread his ashes in their favorite spot

  • Ashley Lang, of Chicago, was saying goodbye to her 12-year-old golden retriever, Wagner, when her friend took the amazing photo
  • The picture seems to show a dog leaping up at Ashley as she spreads the ashes in a park
  • She believes the photo was Wagner's way of bidding her farewell

A Chicago woman who lost her beloved dog says she was able to get one last glimpse of her loyal best friend in what she claims was a supernatural moment while she was spreading his ashes.
Ashley Lang's golden retriever, Wagner, died recently, at age 12, and while she was disseminating his ashes in their favorite park, her friend captured a snap on her phone that appeared to show the silhouette of a dog approaching Ashley.
'It’s pretty remarkable… the tail and the legs and he looks like he’s, you know, leaping to go up,' she told CBS Chicago of the amazing picture.

'Everyone keeps calling him the angel dog,' Ashley added, saying that she thinks the photo was Wagner's way of saying goodbye to her.
Brad Edwards, a newscaster for CBS Chicago, shared the photo on Twitter, where it received more than 200 likes and re-tweets.
A number of dog-lovers responded also to the post, with one person commenting: 'Wow there is a lot of comfort in seeing that.'
Another follower wrote: 'All dogs go to heaven', citing the popular animated movie from 1989.
And while it's likely that the silhouette on Ashley's photo was caused by an iPhone camera issue, the snap seems to have given her comfort now that she's missing her best pal.
When the story was posted to the animal-lovers website The Dodo, many commenters who had lost their pets shared stories similar to Ashley's.
'For days after I had to put my cat down I could still feel him sleeping at the end of my bed. Miss you Badge,' wrote one woman.
Another person revealed: 'I lost my tomcat years ago, and when I still find single strands of furs today while cleaning up, I feel like he wants to say that he's still around me.'
However, one man took issue with the supernatural element of the photo, and slammed readers for falling for the story.
'I don't know who's dumber: people who buy into this kind of nonsense, or me for falling for the click bait,' he wrote.
However, other commenters were quick to shut him down, telling him to let Ashley believe what she wants to so that she can Grieve.
